Community Outreach

NFS is committed to open and forthright communications with our community and other interested stakeholders.

The NFS Speakers' Bureau is comprised of NFS employees from the Engineering, Safety, Assurance and Operations departments. Employees are available to speak at local events, or to present information to civic groups and organizations. For more information on the NFS Speakers' Bureau, contact NFS Communications Director Susan Metcalf at 423.735.5494 or symetcalf@nuclearfuelservices.com.

NFS and its employees are heavily involved in their communities. A favorite is the annual Unicoi County Apple Festival held each October. The company sponsors the Apple Festival’s 4-mile Foot Race which draws hundreds of runners to benefit the Erwin Library.  NFS also sponsors one of the festival stages.
